Top Tab™ is perfect for use on cosmetics, automotive fluids, household chemicals, and healthcare containers. This product is a two-piece induction liner with a built-in half-moon tab similar to our Lift ‘n’ Peel™.
The pulp backing and foil-based container seal are separated upon induction sealing by melting the temporary wax bond. The pulp backing is retained in the cap, and the easy-open half-moon tab seal is retained to the bottle finish. A backing liner ensures the package can be resealed, providing leak prevention and freshness. Clean peel technology ensures easy removal from the container with no unsightly residue.
Top Tab™’s ergonomically easy to grip tab is flexible and extremely strong. The tab provides the opportunity to complement your brand with custom print.
Top Tab™ 2 TamperSeal is the first two-piece induction seal that offers consumer convenience, a hermetical seal, and tamper evidence which is also less likely to introduce pathogens to the package upon initial opening. TamperSeal is ideal for healthcare packaging as it meets the high standards required in that industry.
The benefits of the half-moon tab extend beyond the traditional easy to open experience when combined with tamper-indicating functionality. The avoidance of using an unclean tool or unwashed finger to break through the liner prevents contaminants from entering the package or transferring to residual lining material. After TamperSeal removal, the consumer is left with a clean and smooth land area optimizing reseal integrity.
Top Tab™ 2 TamperSeal is available for use with HDPE containers, and provides a consistent peel strength and a large induction process window. Applications currently using Safe-Gard™ 100 can benefit from expedited testing and approval as Top Tab™ 2 TamperSeal uses the same heat seal (product contact) material.
