About

The Lift ‘n’ Peel™ range of induction seals incorporates an easy open half moon tab that has been designed to be ergonomically easy to grip, flexible and easy to open. Lift ‘n’ Peel™ is prefered by consumers, as evidenced in consumer research, for its safety, leak prevention, and freshness protection.

No additional processing or equipment is required to incorporate the Lift ‘n’ Peel™ liner if already using a standard induction liner.  Engineered to maintain package integrity and prevent leaks, this breakthrough sealing solution adds value to brands and distinguishes them from the competition.

Lift ‘n’ Peel™ applications are wide-ranging, but the most popular applications are for beverages, condiments, sauces, dairy products, and some non-aggressive chemicals. Advances and innovation by Selig in the induction seal market actively address the critical needs of consumers and brand owners with easy-to-open, consumer-friendly packaging and the opportunity to create highly customizable colors, prints, and promotional opportunities using Lift ‘n’ Peel™. Selig offers a variety of Lift ‘n’ Peel™ products, including:

  • Lift ‘n’ Peel™ MAX offers further brand differentiation by expanding graphics to the entire top surface of the liner.
  • Lift ‘n’ Peel™ Wide Mouth is designed with a more rigid board backing for containers with openings of 53mm – 120mm.
  • The Lift ‘n’ Peel™ LP-R liner is designed specifically for PET beverage bottles to clean peel (no liner residue on container) from the container as well as float in the presence of water (specifically gravity <1.0), ensuring a PET recycle stream free of non PET lining materials. The LP-R liner is considered “PET recycle process” compliant and has been issued a favorable opinion by COTREP, a European Plastic Container Recycling Trade Association.

Induction Sealing Basics

Consumer Preferred

Selig has commissioned consumer research using 3rd party market research agencies to better understand the consumer and their interaction with packaging. Our research findings indicate that consumers prefer easy-to-open packages with their preference of Lift ‘n’ Peel™ versus a traditional seal. Of respondents who preferred Lift ‘n’ Peel™, 74% indicated they would very likely switch to another brand of product if it used the Lift ‘n’ Peel™ induction seal liner. To advertise the benefit of using Lift ‘n’ Peel™, marketers have started to indicate that their product uses Lift ‘n’ Peel™ on the product label, and 95% of respondents who preferred Lift ‘n’ Peel™ indicated they would find this very useful.
