Selig Group’s Circumvent and AirFoil vented liner systems protect brand image, promote formulation and packaging innovation and support sustainability initiatives by eliminating the swelling or collapsing of plastic containers due to product off-gassing (swelling) or oxygen scavenging (collapsing). These package distortion issues can be the result of formulation concentrations, active ingredients, elevation changes, hot filling or sustainability initiatives like weight reduction in the container.

Selig’s liners use breathable materials such as expanded polytetrafluoroethylene membranes. The elTFE material has a unique microporous structure that repels liquids, yet safely allows the passage of gases to maintain pressure equalization within a sealed container.

Cimumvent and AirFoil products are customized for each application’s specifications. For instance, high surface tension liquids, such as pool bleach and shock products, some sterilizers, disinfectants and certain powders and tablets require a much different solution than low surface tension liquids such as oils, degreasers, cleaning solvents, soaps and other surfactants. More aggressive chemical solutions, such as industrial cleaners, pesticides and fertilizers, oftenrequire enhanced properties to safely seal and vent the container.
